PTR maintenance concludes, Hallow's End up for testing
"An ostensibly new Blizzard employee named 'Boxinabox' (uh, what. ) has just declared that the PTR is backwards up and fully functional after a 'maintenace' period. Man, who the heck is this guy/gal. The interesting part most this phase of the Test Realm is that Hallow's End is up for testing! We might get to see Horseman mounts if the models that have been dug out of the game files are some indication, but we won't really know until we actually see them drop. Maybe they've gotten rid of the oh-so-phallic Broom mounts this time around. We'll find out, won't we. If you're interested in checking out and testing Hallow's End before it gets pulled, you ought to hurry and get on the PTR. Brewfest was pulled after only a few days, so your time may be limited. Wow, KoL, how could I forgoten most that wonderful game... oh right WoW. Should really check it again, beauty sure my statement is still around, having Mr.A itemds and every. Anwywhoo, I hope the brooms wont get removed. I loved riding a broom, made me feel like a proper warlock. My GF has a shaman named Weatherwitch and she loved flying around on a broom too, so really hope they will still be around. Errrmmm if I'm not mistaken the next thing to be tested publicly will be ... WOTLK. Before this Hallow's End event went to the PTR we have the patch 2.4.3 up for testing. That's going to be released anytime soon. So they are testing what's coming up after that. Hallow's end! That is released in NOvember which is around the release date of WOTLK so like I said, If Im not mistaken they will open the BETA after this. :) " "This guide covers every of the existing 10-united states marine corps and 25-united states marine corps content in the game outside of Sunwell Plateau: KARAZHAN Not a problem.
With the exception of Curator (some guilds on very hasty Kara runs used arcane resist for extra survivability versus the Astral Flare adds), there's no war here where you'll goodness from resist gear of some type. GRUUL'S LAIR Another vacation! There are multiple nontraditional ""tanks"" on the High King Maulgar war -- ranged DPS typically ""tanks"" Kiggler the Crazed, a high-stamina mage Spellsteals Krosh Firehand's damage-reduction buff and tanks him, and warlocks enslave Olm the Summoner's felhound adds and use those to tank him. The two or three real tanks on the war will be occupied with tanking Blindeye the Seer (who hits like a wet dumpling), ""tanking"" Olm just to keep him distracted while warlocks enslave new felhounds, and -- the bounteous one -- tanking the High King himself. If you're the High King tank, you'll want a high-mitigation/high-rejection gear set for this as he hits fairly hard for a Kara-geared tank. Gruul's damage is entirely physical (communicate your mages to cast Amplify Magic on the raid) so again, resist gear is a moot point. SERPENTSHRINE CAVERN Here we go. Tier 5 is where you'll really have to start worrying most building different resist sets. Hydross the Unstable is the bounteous one. It's not that unusual for guilds to skip him (if you stay to the extreme left of his platform and keep going, he won't aggro) and head straight to the easier Lurker Below. This used to give guilds and tanks a little more time to get their Hydross resist sets together -- or at least that's what everyone used to do before it was possible to clear trash every the way to Vashj. wow gold Hydross requires at least 3 to 4 tanks, one of whom must be capped (365) frost-resist, and one of whom must be capped (365) nature-resist. The other one or two tanks will be tanking the four adds that Hydross spawns each time he changes form, and they can use either a mixture of nature and frost resist gear or simply use high-stamina gear (after experimenting with the former, I found that a high-stam set was ultimately more useful). A word of warning; the turn of time, gold, and sheer hassle that goes into making a full frost- or nature-resist set for a tank is exorbitant.
The war was essentially a pacing mechanism, as you couldn't do Vashj without killing Hydross. wow gold Now that that's no longer true, you may wish to skip Hydross entirely because he doesn't drop anything particularly compelling (badge gear is generally meliorate) and you will not need a frost or nature-resist set for some other BC raid. Also, if your guild is heavily reliant on Druid tanks, you're out of luck; there is no epic frost or nature-resist leather in BC. You can put together usable Druid tanking sets if you get lucky with green or chromatic resist gear on the AH, but the stats are rarely as well as the ones on the epic plate resist gear acquirable. buy wow gold In general, plan on using warriors or paladins as heaved tanks on the war with your druids as off-tanks. Having said that, if you're a raid completist like me or you're just stubborn as hell, start stockpiling materials for the sets as soon as you can. I started putting together a list of individual items needed, but frankly I can't do it some meliorate than Wowwiki already has. Wowwiki's Hydross Resist Gear is essentially the war's gearing bible and gives an excellent run-down on exactly what you'll need in each slot. wow gold But to give you a shortcut at what you're looking at, let's adopt for the moment that you'll use one or two offtanks with high-stamina rather than resist gear and you're just worried most two 365+ resist sets for your heaved Hydross tanks. You will need the following: mp3 players 30 Felsteel Bars 26 Khorium Bars 10 Mercurial Adamantite 32 Heavy Knothide Leather 46 Primal Water 64 Primal Fire 46 Primal Life 64 Primal Shadow 6 Primal Nether 260 gold for glyphs/enchants (less if purchaser is Friendly or meliorate) Blacksmiths must be exalted with the Cenarion Expedition and Revered with the Violet Eye Jewelcrafters must be Revered with Lower City, Honored with the Violet Eye, Exalted with the Cenarion Expedition, wow gold and Revered with the Scryers And, of course, the tanks using glyphs on the shoulders and helm (Inscription of Endurance on the shoulders, Glyph of Nature Warding or Glyph of Frost Warding on the helm) must be at least Honored with the Violet Eye, Cenarion Expedition, and Keepers of Time respectively. Whew. You sure you want to do every this rather than just head straight to Vashj. " .
